Adega Coop Vale da Teja Douro

History

Founded in 1964, during the Estado Novo period, Adega Cooperativa do Vale da Teja has built, over more than six decades, a remarkable journey of pioneering spirit, unity and resilience in Douro Superior. Today it has over 300 members and an average annual production of around 1.5 million litres of DOC Douro wines and 1 million litres of Port wine — figures that reflect not just scale, but a commitment to quality, sustainability and the recognition of its cooperative members.

With an integrated and ambitious promotional strategy, we strengthen our presence at national and international fairs and events, seeking prizes and medals at prestigious competitions. At the same time, we maintain an active presence at the main local and regional events, strengthening our community ties and reaffirming the indispensable role our wines play in the Douro Demarcated Region and in the story of viticulture written here every day.

The future is built with the same determination that shaped the past — with vision, innovation and deep respect for tradition.
